Our ideal candidate for the Sales Assistant positioning at Moffly Media is a self-motivated, curious, self-driven and passionate individual that exhibits problem-solving capability, perseverance, and will not take “no” for an answer. He or she easily establishes trust, credibility and respect with customers and team mates, and effectively communicates customer needs and expectations with management. The ideal candidate has the energy and desire to respond quickly, and can handle a large number of accounts and a high volume of sales calls on a daily basis. The Sales Assistant is both creative and process-oriented at the same time. The candidate has a burning desire to learn about sales and marketing and to develop their abilities. 

Role Expectations

  • Work closely with the Account Executives to support business growth through servicing customers ;
  • Work closely with the Marketing Director to provide materials and proposals for account executives to drive business;
  • Build relationships with team members at all levels of the organization from assistants to C-level executives;
  • Respond quickly to customers’ needs and requests; provide outstanding levels of service;
  • Attend and assist in consumer and professional events where existing and prospective customers are present in order to generate new leads and opportunities; 
  • Prospect customers through phone calls and emails to develop business;
  • Proactively communicate status of accounts to management, including but not limited to pipeline activity, forecasting, customer needs and expectations;
  • Achieve identified goals for calls and service; and
  • Work in a professional manner at all times

Experience Required – do you have the stuff?

  • 1-2 years experience in sales, or equivalent via internship or work during college
  • Digital fluency
  • Live in lower Fairfield County

Moffly Media is looking for a driven sales professional to join our team and grow our luxury categories for our magazine brands on the Gold Coast: Greenwich, Stamford, New Canaan-Darien-Rowayton, Fairfield Living, Westport-Weston-Wilton, and athome.

Duties and professional development include the following:

  • Good knowledge of the local Fairfield County market.
  • Preferred candidates live in lower Fairfield County.
  • Build and maintain advertising and sponsorship revenue for the brands by continually prospecting for new accounts, leads and sales opportunities on the phone and in person.
  • Service existing active accounts by maintaining contact with clients to ensure that we are meeting and/or exceeding their expectations.
  • Maintain a weekly call list, which includes prospects and clients contacted, scheduled meetings and likelihood of a signed contract, for review with publisher on a regular basis.
  • Use client research as a guide to prepare sales presentations, budget recommendations, and creative ideas for prospects and current clients.
  • Regularly review competitive media to identify prospects and opportunities.
  • Keep records in contact relationship database accurate and updated to support business.
  • Aggressively pursue new business by following up on leads.
  • Use event sponsorship and digital opportunities to generate revenue.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with both with customers directly and with their agencies.
  • Build relationships in the community to assist the company brands reach goals.
  • Represent the company at client and company events to promote business.


  • Results-oriented, motivated contributor who brings passion and an intrinsic drive to succeed.
  • Print advertising or digital sales experience required.
  • Prior local media sales experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Flexible schedule: remains cool under the pressure and demands of a sales cycle business
  • Wants to have fun and work with a great team.

Seeking small venue event photographer with ablility to capture overall event venue shots, detailed shots of significant sponsors, people photos with ID’s. Photo’s to be used in any and all publications and Moffly website. Events range from 100 -950 attendees. Greenwich based preferred.
