Looking for an editorial assistant. This is a high-growth opportunity for someone eager to develop his/her professional publishing skills and contribute to an award-winning regional lifestyle magazine.
    •    Assist in trafficking editorial content
    •    Collaborate with editorial team to secure timely copy and images
    •    Gather high-quality contributed images with appropriate releases, credits and captions
    •    Assist on photo shoots
    •    Participate in regularly schedule team meetings
    •    Attend occasional events to represent the company
    •    Fact-check stories and contribute to editing process
    •    Write copy for front of book
    •    Contribute accurate material to social media in timely manner
    •    Proofread all editorial material, following house style
    •    Fact-check material with necessary sources
    •    Bachelor's degree in journalism or similar
    •    Experience in content creation and management
    •    Exceptional attention to detail

Jr. Designer to work in the Marketing Department

The perfect candidate should have 2+ years of design experience, preferably at a magazine publishing company and will report to the Strategic Marketing Director. He/she must also be a great communicator and be excited and willing to collaborate with colleagues and clients.

This person is organized, a team player and a great problem-solver. Under the guidance of the Art Director he/she will be responsible for the following for all six titles:

  • Design and create materials for magazine ads, special sections, event and online promo pages, sales presentations, comps, collateral, direct mail, brochures, flyers, signage and more
  • Design and create e-blasts, online banner ads, digital mocks ups and other web related projects.
  • Responsible for projects from beginning to end, including design, production, ordering, follow-up and bill processing.
  • Ability to multi-task while working independently, as well as within a group
  • Must be knowledgeable about printing/production processes and able to work with third party vendors.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, or related field of study
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and PowerPoint
