Summer Tunes

Be sure not the miss out on these summer tunes, originating right here in Connecticut.

David Foster handpicked songwriter/producer Greg Critchley (Miley Cyrus, Michelle Branch, High School Musical) to team up with Allison Geddie to produce her debut album, Everything You Don’t See. Her work is dark, emotional and vulnerable. Geddie, a former Westonite, reminisces, “One of my oldest songs on the album is called ‘What We Lived For,’ which is about being sixteen in Westport.” See more at allisongeddie.com.

Daria Musk’s combination of indie, pop, and rock culminates into a distinct sound that resonates within. Living in Fairfield County, Musk has preformed at numerous sold-out shows throughout New York City and on the East Coast.  You can catch the singer/songwriter at the SoNo Arts Celebration on August 3. To hear a sample, head to dariamusktrio.com.

Folk musician Lara Herscovitch, a graduate of Staples High School, just released her first CD since being named the Connecticut State Troubadour. Through a Frozen Midnight Sky is smooth and wistful; a perfect complement to  a glass of wine, an Adirondack chair on the lawn, and wide view of a summer’s evening — simple magic. Take a listen at laraherscovitch.com.
