New Direction

Michael Cotela has been appointed the new executive director of the Boys & Girls Club of Stamford. Cotela joins the Stamford organization after twenty-six years with the Boys & Girls Club of Lower Naugatuck Valley in Shelton, where he was sports director and program director and most recently, director of operations.

Cotela serves as a national training associate for Boys & Girls Clubs of America. His training experience includes work with its Teen Supreme Programs, Program Basic, Guidance and Discipline and Club Operations. A former adjunct professor at UConn Stamford, Housatonic Community College and the University of Bridgeport, Cotela holds degrees from Eastern Connecticut State University and the University of Bridgeport.
