The Footsteps of Giants

Is it the size of the shoe or the heart that leaves the largest footsteps?

The nation has lost several giants in the past several weeks, and, at the Fairfield County Community Foundation, we've lost three of our own.

Leo Nevas, Edgar See and Stephen Mandel, Sr. were giants. Each lived huge, remarkable lives noteworthy not only for their professional success, but for their personal generosity, compassion for others and selfless giving of their time and skills. We never knew their shoe sizes, but we knew the size of their hearts.

Each left huge footsteps. Each would encourage us to do so as well, no matter the size of our shoes.
