Here's an effective and efficient way to support efforts of nonprofits responding to the crisis.
InterAction is the largest coalition of U.S.-based international nongovernmental organizations focused on the world's poor and most vulnerable people.
So far, over 70 of its member organizations -- all worthy nonprofits -- have response teams on the ground in Haiti and are accepting donations.
You can review descriptions of these responding organizations on its website. You can also review InterAction's guidelines on the most appropriate ways for you to help.
