Greenwich resident, Cindy Rinfret is the principal designer of Rinfret, Ltd., one of the most highly respected interior design firms on the East Coast. With over twenty years of experience in the industry, Cindy has established herself as a designer with a discerning eye, who is renowned for her timeless, elegant style.

By pairing antiques with less formal furnishings, she creates interiors that are eclectic and luxurious yet comfortable. Whether she’s designing a modern, western, or ski cottage environment for one of her many high profile clients, the rooms all demonstrate her penchant for creating beautiful spaces that are meant to be lived in and enjoyed. In spite of how much her business has grown (Rinfret, Ltd. now has a staff of twelve), Cindy insists on individually designing for all of her clients. Cindy’s book, Classic Greenwich Style (Rizzoli) showcases her design acumen.

The 4,000 square foot space hosts a diverse mix of English, modern, and transitional accessories and furnishings that Cindy has personally selected. In fact, she is often in the store choosing items for her own clients.

Travel, experience and my clients

My children, my pets and my collected gold locket necklace, which I started years ago in London.

What is the one thing in life you cannot live without?
“Style”…and my Amex card!

What talent would you most like to possess?
The ability to speak numerous languages…and Gisele’s body.

What books are currently on your bedside table?
Outliers, Game Change, and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

What is your favorite restaurant in Fairfield County?
Rowayton Seafood for fun; Rebecca’s for fantastic food; and L’Escale for cocktail hour

What is your favorite luxury in life?
Many things…my koi pond, first class air travel, my fabulous housekeepers, and my massage therapist!

Past or present who has most influenced your direction in life?
Palladio, Rhode Island School of Design, and my mother, who always loved living a beautiful life.
