Of course, you can do it yourself if you have the perfect picture or you can put on your Sunday best and head out with a professional photographer. There are so many to choose from, but I had to select just five. I hope you like them. After 24 years of concentrating on portrait photography, Jeffrey Shaw has made a name for himself. Maybe you have seen his work on The Oprah Winfrey Show or in People Magazine. Whether you want to be photographed in Connecticut, Westchester, NYC or the Hamptons, Jeffrey will come to you. But before he does, he will get to know you and work with you to ensure that he captures your natural beauty that comes from feeling relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera. Take Jeff’s suggestions on clothing, colors, hair and makeup, and then let him work his magic with you and your children. You will not be disappointed. Photo sessions last approximately an hour and a half; after which, you can view your proofs online. Of course, Jeffrey welcomes time with you in his Greenwich studio to help choose photos to print and frame, create greeting cards and more.

Bruce Plotkin. I first met Bruce when I hired him to photograph my wedding. I thought his photos and the way he styled his books was a little more eye catching than the competition and he simply stood out in the crowd. I must have been right because as it turns out, Bruce is one of Moffly’s photographers of choice. He has done quite a bit for us over the years and most recently, the cover and feature spread for the October issue of New Canaan Magazine.

Aside from magazines, weddings (and the most fabulous engagement photos), and special events (bar and bat mitzvahs), Bruce truly enjoys working with families and kids to photograph them at a location of their choice. Need some ideas for your family portrait, then take a look at Bruce’s website.  You will be inspired. bruceplotkin.com.
