I think a good category would be for personal trainers. This isn't a business with well-known brand names (besides the trainers at the big brand gyms, and they tend to not be very good), and a Gold Coast award could help aspiring trainees to weed out the good from the bad.

Best of Condo Living. Whether it be stunning High Rises like the new Robert Stern building HighGrove which will mimic fifth avenue living in Stamford or the Town Homes in Greenwich. There is a huge need and want for Luxury Living while downsizing (just a bit!) without the headache of home ownership. Pipe leaking? Call the house manager!!!! What a relief!
I have been involved with fitness training for several years at C4 Training. This is a personal training facility in Greenwich. I think it would be fantastic if someone could interview or expose this great company. It is founded and run by a true athlete who really knows and cares about the clients. He just qualified for the Ironman world championships in 2010 this past weekend in Madison, WI. I train with a group of other women, our kids train here, some of our husbands even train here. It is definitely worth a story in the local magazine. Quite a success story for a young man from our town.... both personally and professionally.

this year, you did not have a category for crafts. you had knitting under that category for the past three years. many people come to westport and enjoy visiting knitting and/or needlepoint shops while here.
people who enjoy crafts always look for a local shop when they are visiting family, friends or on vacation. i think it would be helpful to have the category as part of your "Best of....".

Would be great to see more pet categories: best dog trainer, best boarding kennel, best dog park, best veterinary care, etc.
